Rosh HaShana and Yaron's birthday!

ROSH HASHANA - Haifa - KIBBUTZ HAHOTRIM
This year we celebrated at our old kibbutz again. This party takes place at the kibbutz swimming pool and only those that dont feel like cooking or can't cater for their large family or extended families go.
Drora Glik had her family from Spain and all their children and new babies!
Our was the longest table at the occasion!
Food was ok.
We had fun catching up with old friends.
Waiting for it to begin
YARON'S BIRTHDAY
It was also Yaron's birthday, but as it seems to be the thing in our family, we dont make to much of a big deal about it!
I love Baruch's idea for his last birthday - he bought his kids each a gift instead of all the emphasis on himself.
Happy birthday sweetheart.
I have great expectations for this 47th year!
Yaron came to faith when he was 40.
After 7 years of marriage.
Now 7 years later, we look forward to a new season!
May God:
from Psalm 103
Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's
Yaron my love:
May you be satisfied with good things
and your youth renewed!
Because he has forgiven you
may He heal you in all parts of your life and body
and I praise Him that your life is redeemed from the pit
and that you ARE crowned with love and compassion.

Saba , Savta and Dalya at the table.

Helen met us afterwards with her new baby, Lily.
Shai was so glad to see his sweetheart, Hila! Avi (our old neighbour) and Saba and Amitai of course!
Later we sat on Saba's deck and celebrated more!
Lots of blessings and singing were the themes for the night.

And a little bit of mischief too!

Saba, though weak and battling pancreas cancer, enjoyed his grandchildren.

Eyes like swimming pools!
Naamah wore the dress that Granny Ritchie made us years ago for Kai and it never was worn till now! Isn't she sweet?

And the best blessing was the wonderful German family from Dresden, once Communist Germany. They have a rare number of 5 children for that part of the world. 4 sons and one daughter, the daughter their 4th like Amitai is 4th! Just the other way around!

They celebrated Rosh HaShana in our house with the rest of the body here, and they were so blessed, but when we arrived we were even more blessed by their presence and testimony to what is happening in Germany now. How God is raising up strong believers in the darkness of those oppressed cities.

They shared the needs of the communities there and ask for prayer for a NEED for God, as people dont think they need him and have the wrong idea about him because of the way the church has been run the last centuries.

Only 2 of their sons came and they loved Mish Mish so much and Mish Mish went hiking with them everywhere.

As they left, they SANG for us a song in German, about His peace being on us and our home.

I was in tears as I realised again that God is bringing these precious believers into our home and it is just sooooo amazing!

In this pic they are ALL singing.
