We celebrated a family lunch for Kai's batmitzvah at Rafi and Yafah's house on Shabbat. We went down the day before so that we could also spend some time with Saba and Savta. Rosh HaNikra family were invited as well as Drora's side etc. So we were close to 30 with all the families.
Kai prepared her Parashat haShavuoah speech with Saba's help and also played the flute.
Saba put together a lovely DVD of Kai growing up, with her favourtie songs in the background.
It was amazing how we have all grown older in the past 12 years. Some pics were of Kirsten when she was 10, visiting us when Kai was born! To think that Tess is almost that age now!
The food was good as usual, Yafah doing most of it (thank you!) and Yaron made a yummy goulash and salad. Dalia bought a rich chocolate cake from metookah, a conditure in Tel Aviv.
