In fact for years.
She got one last year while we were living in the Galilee, but the wind wasn't right and we gave up trying to fly it. But Tess didn't give up her dream to fly a kite.
Now with her birthday coming up she really wanted to have another go. Could we get her a kite?
The old kite was history so we set out looking for a better one but we couldn't find a good one.
Should we try and make one?
Then just last week, I saw that there was going to be a "Kite Day" right here at the Midrasha! In the morning the kids were to build kites and in the afternoon when the wind usually comes up, fly them.
Yaron took her in the morning to build a kite and it was the simplest kite you could imagine. But it flew and wow, it FLEW!
What a picture it was to see about 40 kites flying all over the canyon as the sun went down.
Ken, a believer who is passing through took pics for us and caught the joy on her face!

what a picture of happiness :) Glad Tessie got to enjoy kite flying - and making her own one too! That must've been fun. You'll have to teach us, Tessie.
