These Africans pray regulary for Israel. It is interesting the African connection that they have with Israel. There seems to be a love from Africa for Israel, that seems to be increasing lately.
Also news from our local Kehila:
Ceejay who is studying at the Midrasha, is a Tanzanian believer who was recently was joined by his wife Margaret and their 2 children. He has 2 more years to go as he studies for his doctorate. When Ceejay smiles you see Yeshua in him, even when he doesn't smile, Yeshua shines out of him.
He is precious. His family almost left his oldest daughter Naomi (7) to start her schooling in Tanzania. Nobody felt it was the right decision and prayed as a kehila for them to make a way for Naomi to come too.
Baruch felt we should raise her airfare in faith to bring her over - within days we had a 1000 dollars in the storehouse (we collect money for whoever needs) - it was even more to bring her over with her mother and younger brother, Elisha.
Ceejay was just popping with joy as his whole family were together at last in Israel.
Also one of our Indian members of the congregation was joined by his wife and 4 year old son recently.
The word that the Kehila had over Rosh HaShana was from Isaiah 54:
2 "Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare;
Lengthen your cords,
And strengthen your stakes.
3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left,
And your descendants will inherit the nations,
And make the desolate cities inhabited.
Everybody stood and physically stretched one another in a symbolic action from the verse.
Stretch us Lord in every area!
The next meeting (last shabbat) was amazing as our tent was indeed stretched as the room was filled, wall to wall with so many people. The new family members, an Israeli woman whom Karen has a good relationship for a few years, came for prayer in hope of healing! Another Israeli believing girl etc.
It was amazing, especially when I think back to a few years ago when they opened a meeting to start the Kehila here and within a few weeks it was just a pile of ashes, ruined by grumpy, gossiping believers. None of whom are left here today.
The kehila is resurrected and as Baruch says, once something is resurrected it cannot die!
What a blessing to be part of all this.
