Nabatean rock paintings and visiting Salem.

Near our home is a lovely walk that you can do and discover the thousands of rock etchings that were apparently done by the Nabateans and some say even there are those of the Israelites.  Well we had a fun day the Guy family.
Amitai loved scrambling over rocks to discover more.
Eli was only on my back in the beginning.
 More running around, what fun.
I love this one, its so clear and solitary.
Look at this look in her eyes, I want to eat her up!
Beautiful Tess

Also this one is really clear.
 A balagan!
Early Spring plants to cheer you up in the cold winter days.

Does anyone wonder why I love the Negev so much??
Its like the world, so barren and empty but there and here is some love. We as believers must be like these signs of life, colorful and full of hope bringing joy in a dead world....

We met Salem and his family who will be hosting groups in the future and hikers who come to enjoy the new rock etching parks that have been pioneered by our dear friend Lior.
Listening to Salem's heart, hopes and dreams. He speaks good Hebrew but his children only Arabic.  His son has a slight lazy eye.  I know it could be corrected and they have the opportunity to do so but perhaps no one has said anything to them that it can be done. He told how they were pressurized by political Muslim groups to put the Palestinian flag outside their village. He said they resisted and put the Israeli one instead.
The vision is to work together with their Jewish neighbors.
I hope we treat them well and them us, I know our hearts want too.

Love the photo's. The Spring flowers starting to press through. My favourite time in Israel! Amitai looks like he has grown a lot since last year or it is the angle you took the photo. The girls - all so pretty and cute. Marco's doors and cabinets are great. I like the idea of painting them sage green. Praying that you will get more volunteers.
What fun being able to go and play in the snow.

lovely flower pics Kelly and what you said is why we are here - the promise, the hope, the assurance. Hope springs eternal.
May God bring His salvation - His son to our beduin neighbours and may we play a part in that. show us how Lord. we are willing.
remind me to tell you the story of Suah and her mother.
