Locals and friends

Avigail, my friend from Ezuz came for tea and brought a birthday cake for my birthday.
She shared her wonderful testimony for my folks and the Lamb's.
Baruch Maayan, friend and brother in the Lord and a fantastic and recognised artist has been doing a series of paintings on commission for a believer in Tel Aviv who is opening a hotel/conference center.
This one is part of his David theme painting. He himself is in the painting, if you know him you will guess who is Baruch! He has also painted Ruth and Boaz, Josef and other themes.
We took Mom and Dad to Chavat Boker (a single family farm in the Ramat HaNegev) where Yaron did extensions on these guesthouses. Mom and Dad were very impressed and we hope to eat one night together with Moshe and Hilda who run the place.
Someone left a car on their property and Hilda's daughter
had the bright idea to fill it with flowers and give it a nice paint!

We visited Ezuz: Eyal and Avigail Hirshfeld.
This is their guestbus! Zimmerbus! An old bus coverted into a guesthouse. They are busy converting a double bus for the future guesthouses.

Ezuz is where they say: Go to the end of the world and turn left, then you get to Ezuz.

A place with 12 families - some eccentric. Others taking a step out of the rat race. There are 2 believing families there.
Inside their caravan.
We also visited Avishai and Yolande who live in Kadesh Barnea.
These are our friends who took in over 50 Sudanese refugees last year for a couple of months.
We had some tea in their huge army tent that can cater for many.
Kids playing on the grass outside the bungalows.
Mom and Dad chatting to Avishai and Yolande.
They have a vision for orphans, to take in people with needs.

Kadesh Barnea is also on the border with Egypt and you could see the guards posted every 200 meters or so along the border. There has been a huge problem of infiltration across the border with refugees (mostly economic refugees) coming from Sudan, Eritrea and other parts of Africa.
