We were so blessed to have the Knotts and their 2 sons (youngest remained at home). We were their last stop before they left to visit Diane's brother in Switzerland. They said it was such a highlight to come to the desert and end their trip this way. They said it was especially special to stay with us and not just do the touristy bit! They were all taken with the Negev. It has been 20 years since they were in Israel and if I am correct, their first time in the Negev.
Pics aren't in order!
We at a lovely breakfast before going out to an area where Baruch has a vision to start a Volmoed like farm. They were fascinated with the bread I make and enjoyed eating it too! Especially Kevin! Lots of bread and jam! I love that too!

This is the bread "machine" - actually an aluminum dish with lid, 2 elements (we use bottom one only) that heat up the stones. Stones taken from beach at Hahotrim. Place dough on stones - turn over once and walla! We eat fresh bread/pita everyday! You can make it thick or thin. The night before, when we also dedicated Naamah, we had a Shabbat meal together with all the congregation. Here Kevin is talking to Jaysu, our Indian believer/student.
Here Brendan smiles at Ceejay (Tanzania) and in the background Brendan chats with Margaret (Tanzania)
Diane chats with Ceejay too!
And the highlight, singing with Kevin! Yay, apples of gold in the desert!

In fact the evening was really special and Mary also got up to sing some of her songs and Ceejay and Margaret sang some of their in Swahili.
