Ron Arad, is an Israeli fighter pilot, whose plane went down in Lebanon, during a mission against terrorists in 1986. He managed to eject from the plane, but was captured. Now for 22 years....
Recently with a prisoner exchange (suppose to take place tomorrow), new photos of him have surfaced. It moved me to the gut, so see his desperate eyes, his utter despair. They say he is probably dead. But his wife cant know for sure and his daughter, who was only months old... has not had a father for all of her 22 years.
Tomorrow, a young bride might have her husband back after being captured for 2 years. Alive or dead, we hope to find out - tomorrow. http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/About+the+Ministry/Behind+the+Headlines/Behind+the+Headlines
But what about Shalit?
Here is the amazing story he wrote as a young boy - amazing when you consider his life now.
